Unbeaten Top Rank super bantamweight Toka Khan Clary has suffered a disastrous 1st round knockout at the hands of Filipino journeyman Jhon ?The Disaster? Gemino at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida.

It was a stunning upset by Gemino who belongs to the Kambal Kamao stable and is a resident of Lipa City, Batangas.

The knockout came at 1:30 of the opening round.

After Clary threw a jab, Gemino countered with a vicious body shot followed by a right hook to the chin that dropped Cary who failed to beat the count.

Gemino had earlier won the vacant WBA Intercontinental title with a 7th round knockout of South African Toto Helebe who had a record of 17-7 with 9 knockouts last August 5

Clary had stopped his last five opponents and was coming off two knockouts this year.

Clary was born in Liberia and moved to Philadelphia when he was six years old, the same year he was orphaned when his father was killed in a shooting. He eventually ended up in Rhode Island and was taken under the wings of Ron Clary, his wife Andrea Watson and Peter Manfredo, a former fighter.

In 2012 Manfredo said ?Toka is the best I?ve seen at our gym in 35 years and I?ve seen a lot of fighters. He has speed, skill, tremendous combinations and a big heart.?
