GEN. SANTOS CITY --- The Elorde International Productions is staging a double championship fight for the World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council on October 1 at the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.

Promoter Gabriel ?Bebot? Elorde Jr. said the main event will feature two both former WBC Asian Boxing Council minimumweight champions Cris Alfante (11W-6L-1D-4KOs) of Zamboanga del Norte and Roilo ?The Phoenix? Golez (16W-15L-1D-7KOs) of Maco, Compostela Valley Province for the vacant WBC ABCO flyweight title.

Alfante, 24, previously won by a 2nd round technical knockout over Rolando Niones at The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex.

In his last fight, Alfante, however, bowed to WBA Oceania bantamweight king Andrew Moloney last June 24 in Australia.
The 29-year old Golez, on the other hand, made a smashing comeback by knocking out Diarh Gabutan in the 5th round last June 10 in Mandaluyong City.

The other championship is for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver featherweight crown between Danilo ?Brutos? Gabisay (6W-6L-0D-4KOs) of Marilao, Bulacan and Joe ?Misako? Noynay (10W-1L-1D-4KOs) of Bogo, Cebu.

Gabisay, 24, dropped all his last three fights including a title fight for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental bantamweight crown from the hands of Thiranan Matsali by a unanimous decision last May 8, 2015 in Thailand.

Gabisay?s last win was a 9th round TKO over Angelito Merin last December 13, 2014 in Muntinlupa City.

Noynay, 21, also lost in his last outing by a technical decision to Richard Pumicpic in their battle for the vacant WBC International super bantamweight crown last May 4 at the SM MOA Music Hall.

His last victory was against Marvin Abila by a 2nd round TKO on October 24, 2015 at the Elorde Gym.

Meanwhile, the undercard will feature super featherweight Roldan Aldea (9-3 1) against Benjie Suganob (10-5-1); super bantamweight Glenn Medura (6-1-1) vs. Menard Abila (5-5-4); light flyweight Argie Guiriba (3-0-0) vs. Ryan Pinola (2-1-0); super bantamweight Al Toyogon (3-1-0) vs. Jimboy Rosales (1-2-0); super bantamweight Jerome Roque (1-0-1) vs. Rizalde Caballes (0-2-1); flyweight Romel Hangalay (0-1-0) vs. Allen Mariano (debut).
