IBF flyweight champion Johnreil Casimero of the Philippines and unbeaten Charlie Edwards of Britain both made the weight at the official weigh in for their showdown at the Indigo of the O2 Arena in London where the fight will take place at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, Manila, Time.

Casimero tipped the scales at 111.5 pounds and Edwards, the taller fighter by about two inches weighed 111.6 pounds.

Edwards will be in his 9th fight as a pro and is the reigning English and WBC International champion while Johnreil is a two-division world champion who regained his IBF flyweight crown with a spectacular 4th round kmnockout of Thailand?s Amnat Ruenroeng who won the vacant title in a foul-marred fight with referee Larry Dogget doing nothing to control the Thai fighter who resorted to a series of illegal actions to gain the nod of the judges forcing the IBF to order a rematch after a strongly-worded protest from Team Casimero and internationally known promoter and matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz and his well-known Filipino partner Sammy Gello-ani.

Edwards trainer Danny Vaughn said Edwards, an outstanding amateur will use the large ring set up for the Gennady Golovkin-Kell Brook battle to help Edwards stay away from the powerful punches of Casimero even as he admitted that the Filipino is ?a big puncher with both hands and likes to let the big shots go and we are in for a rough night.?

The plan of Team Edwards is to ?keep it tight for the first three or four rounds? promising to be on the move so Casimero can?t hit what?s not there.?

However, matchmaker and boxing man Sean Gibbons told The Manila Standard he expects Casimero to break down the defense of Edwards by the middle rounds and then take him out.
