World Boxing Council president Mauricio Sulaiman who attended the public workout of all the fighters on the big card at the famed O2 Arena in London on Sunday morning Manila Time personally extended his best wishes to IBF flyweight champion Johnreil Casimero who defends his title against unbeaten British boxer Charlie Edwards.

Well-known promoter Sammy Gello-ani who handles Casimero in partnership with international promoter and matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz told The Standard that the public workout was done at Covent Garden and Casimero was given 15 minutes to work out in front of the spectators with ?live? coverage by Sky Sports.

Gello-ani said Casimero did some shadow boxing and worked on the punch-mitts with veteran trainer Jhun Agrabio and was followed by Edwards and finally the main event fighters, Gennady Golovkin and Kell Brook.

While waiting for his turn at the Matchroom staff room, promoter Eddie Hearn told Casimero ?don?t rush. Give us time to enjoy the fight.?

Gello-ani told us that today they have to comply with the requirements of the British Boxing Board of Control to have the weight check at 12:00 noon at the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel and as required by the Board of Control Casimero and Edwards need to be 3 to 4 pounds over the championship limit today.

Casimero tipped the scales at 115.1 pounds after which there was a press conference.

As the title holder Casimero promised the fans they will ?enjoy watching his fight? while Edwards said Casimero is ?fitted to his style and he knows the weakness of the champion.?

Casimero assured the media that whatever Edwards can do has been well studied by him and he is ?prepared and ready to stop Edwards? dream to become a champion.?

The IBF officials for the fight will be referee Steve Gray with judges Glen Hamada of Washington USA, Michael Alexander of Britain and Atty. Danrex Tapdasan of the Philippines while the fight supervisor is Anibal Miramontes of Argentina who lives in the United States.

The official weigh in will be on September 9 and 1:00 p.m. London Time.
