Unbeaten Rimar ?Machine Gun? Metuda is ready to face Kazakhstan?s Mirzhjan Zhaksylykov for the Asian Boxing Council super featherweight title at the Traktor Sports Palace on September 9.

Zhaksylykov is a substitute for injured stablemate Mark Urbanuz who had a record of 9 wins against one loss while Zhaksylykov has a record of 9-1 with 4 knockouts.

Metuda of Sanman Boxing Stable arrived in Chelyabinsk, Russia for his title showdown along with trainer and former boxer Dondon Jimenea last September 5 which gives him four days to get acclimatized.

Metuda?s manager Jim Claude ?JC? Manangquil said ?Everything is good, Metuda has 4 days to recover in Russia. He is confident going into this fight."

Zhaksylykov is a former PABA featherweight title-holder. Zhaksylykov, however, lost in his last fight against Shavkat Rakhimov by a unanimous decision last February 27 in Russia.

Metuda won the vacant WBF Asia Pacific featherweight title via a 5th round technical knockout against Jason Tinampay last September 26 at the Gaisano Mall Atrium in Gensan.

The 22-year old southpaw from Cagayan de Oro City previously stopped Joel Hecotibo in the second round of a non-title fight held March 8 in T'boli, South Cotabato.
