Hard-hittring Reymart ?Assassin? Gaballo who recently turned 20 should have no problem in winning his first title when he clashes with Thailand?s Manot Comput alias Yodpichai Sithsaithong in the Tupi Municipal Gym in South Cotabato on September 10.
Gaballo?s manager/promoter Jim Claude Manangquil tells us that Gaballo will fight for the super bantamweight title although the WBC Asian Boxing Council has announced the fight is for the super featherweight title.
Figuring in his first title fight Gaballo who is unbeaten with a record 12 knockouts in 14 wins says he ?can?t wait to put the WBC belt around my waist.?
The Thai fighter Comut is 33 years old and has a comparatively unimpressive record of 12-13 with 6 knockouts.
Manangquil said Gaballo ?has a big upside which is something you have to be born with and that is power.? This is confirmed by the fact that he has won his last seven fights by knockout and won by a 4th round knockout in a scheduled eight round bout over Jilo Merlin.
The Philippine Games and Amusements board has ranked Gaballo No. 1 in the super flyweight division while the Asian Boxing Council has rated him No. 4.
