Good looking Mexican Carlos ?Principe? Cuadras is very confident that his ability and his training, will take the steam out of Roman ?Chocolatito? Gonzalez, the unbeaten pound for pound No.1 and derail him, in the main arena at the Inglewood Forum, California on September 10.
The WBC reports that Cuadras, who's hard at work in Maywood, California and is being prepared by trainer, Rudy Hern?ndez, says he's ready for a "Roman holiday."
Cuadras admitted ?Roman and I, are great friends, but each of our future depends on the result of this fight. Only one of us will enjoy the victory. After September 10th, there will be a before and an after in my career."
?Roman has a date with a KO on Saturday September 10 at the Forum, I will be in charge of introducing that!? grinned Carlos in his trademark mischievous sense of humor, coupled with self confidence.
Undefeated, Cuadras? WBC super flyweight world title will be at stake in what is expected to be a sizzling battle.
The 28 year old Cuadras who has a record of 35-0-1 with 27 knockouts is coming off a successful title defense last April 23, when he forced Filipino challenget Richie Mepranum to retire in the 8th round after winning the title by an 8th round technical decision over southpaw Srisaket Sor Rungvisai on May 31, 2014.
Cuadras then went on to win by a 6th round TKO over Filipino Marvin Mabait at the Washington Hilton on November 13, 2014.
The longest-reigning Filipino world champion Donnie Nietes who relinquished his WBO light flyweight title to move up to flyweight and will face former world champion and No 4 ranked flyweight Edgar Sosa in his first bout as a flyweight had announced that he planned to face ?Chocolatito? Gonzalez at a future date.
