Mark 'Magnifico' Magsayo will battle Mexico's Ruben Garcia on the Donnie Nietes-Edgar Sosa undercard at the StubHub Center in Carson City, California on September 24.

ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer told The Standard that Magsayo, who is coming off a blood-and-guts 6th round TKO over fancied American Chris Avalos and won the vacant WBO International featherweight title, is likely to find Garcia just as tough an opponent as Avalos.

The 23 year old Garcia has a record of 17-2-1 with 7 knockouts and is coming off back-to-back victories over journeymen Alberto Valenzuela whom he knocked out in the 2nd round of a scheduled ten-round bout last June 11 and an 8 round unanimous decision over Ramon Cedano one week later.

Garcia retired in the 7th round of a scheduled ten round bout against unbeaten Rando Caballero last February 5 in a featherweight clash and also dropped an 8 round decision to unbeaten Rafael Rivera on October 24, 2015.

Magsayo, regarded as one of the more promising fighters in the ALA stable has a record of 14-0 with 11 knockouts and is a hard-hitting WBO International featherweight champion.
