Following his impressive 5th round TKO over Elio Rojas of the Dominican Republic despite a two-and-a-half year absence from the ring because of a court case he filed against Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, unbeaten former world champion Mikey Garcia says he is "looking forward to getting back in there and winning another world title."

Garcia, the former featherweight and junior lightweight champion, showed no signs of ring rust as he moved forward aggressively from the opening bell and dropped Rojas four times to win by a spectacular TKO after the final knockdown which came courtesy of a brutal right uppercut forcing referee Eddie Claudio to stop the massacre.

In a post fight interview Mikey, younger brother of former world champion and trainer Robert Garcia said "The two-and-a-half-year layoff sparked a fire in me and motivated me to do the best that I could.? Garcia said "Elio is a tough guy and a former world champion. He didn't come for a paycheck; he came to win."

Garcia added "Elio took advantage of the opportunity. But we trained for a great performance like this and I was thrilled to get the job done.

It felt great to be here with a supportive crowd behind me. I'm looking forward to getting back in there and winning another world title."

The target of Garcia is WBO champion Terry Flanagan of Britain, the southpaw with an unbeaten record of 31-0 with 11 knockouts.
