PHILIPPINE super lightweight champion Adones Cabalquinto will fight for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council Silver welterweight title on July 23 at the Far East Square in Singapore.

Cabalquinto (23 wins, 1 loss, 0 draw, 15 KOs) of the MP Davao Stable will face the undefeated Qudratillo Abduqaxorov (7 wins-0 loss) of Uzbekistan in the main event co-promoted by Alexander Shah of Cartel Promotions and Willip Ho.

?Adones is ready to fight the Uzbekistan boxer,? said manager-trainer Raides ?Nonoy? Neri.

The 27-year old Cabalquinto previously won by a unanimous decision against Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) welterweight champion Rodel Wenceslao last June 4 at the Almendras Gym in Davao City.

Cabalquinto also captured the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council super lightweight title via an 8th round TKO win over Thailand?s Nitikorn Phuwana on November 8, 2014 also at Almendras Gym.
He last retained his Philippine super lightweight crown via a first round knockout against Jonel Gadapan last May 30 in General Santos City.

Abduqaxorov, on the other hand, last won against Larry Siwu last June 10 by a unanimous decision in Singapore.

He also captured the World Boxing Foundation International welterweight title by a UD over Juan Bedolla Orozco last April 16 in Malaysia.

The 22-year old Abduqaxorov also took the vacant Uzbekistan welterweight title by knocking out Islam Mirahmedov in the third round last March 5 at the Sport Palace ?Uzbekiston? in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
