The unbeaten Moloney brothers, Andrew and Jason will face Filipinos Cris Alfante and Virden Rivera from the stable of Gabriel ?Bebot? Elorde at the Malvern Town Hall in Melbourne in a Peter Maniatis promotion on Friday.

Southpaw Alfante who has a record of 11-5-1 with 4 knockouts is coming off a six round draw against unbeaten Japanese super flyweight Ryuto Maekawa (10-0) last November 7 after losing by a 4th round knockout to unbeaten Daigo Higa in a six round bout on June 8, 2015.

Higa who has a sterling record of 9 knockouts in 9 wins will battle Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation champion Ardin Diale of the Philippines on July 2. Diale has a record of 31-9-3 with 15 knockouts.

Andrew Moloney is 29 years old and sports a record of 7-0 with 4 knockouts. In his last fight Andrew scored a 2nd round TKO in a scheduled six round bout against Argentina?s Ricardo David Ocampo (9-7, 4 KO?s) on May 20 this year.

25 year old Virden ?Prince Warrior? Rivera has a record of 8-2-2 with 2 knockouts and will face 25 year old super bantamweight Jason Moloney who is unbeaten in 7 bouts with all seven coming by way of knockouts.

In his last fight Jason scored a 5th round TKO in a scheduled eight round bout over Argentina?s featherweight Matias Agustin Amagada.

Rivera, on the other hand figured in a majority draw against Eranio Semillano on October 24, 2015.

Multi-awarded promoter Peter Maniatis informed The Standard that Alfante comes highly recommended by Elorde and he believes it will be the biggest test so far for Andrew Moloney while Rivera, he said ?is a neat, stylish boxer.?

The Filipino boxers will be in Melbourne four days before the scheduled fights.
