Plania, Rosas make weight for Brawl at the Mall: Undefeated

UNDEFEATED fighters ?Magic? Mike Plania of General Santos City and Lorence Rosas of Samar both made their weights today at 119 lbs. for their championship fight tomorrow for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International bantamweight title in the main event of the Brawl at the Mall: Undefeated at the Makati Square Cinema in Makati City.

The boxing show, which is free to the public starts at 5 p.m. according to young promoter Jim Claude ?JC? Manangquil, chief executive officer of the Sanman Promotions.

?Magaling din yun kalaban ko. Gagawin ko ang lahat ng aking makakaya para matalo siya,? said Plania (9W-0L-0D-4KOs).

Rosas, on the other hand, said that he is also confident of keeping his unblemished record of 5 wins, 2 draws with 2 KOs and no defeat.

?Tingnan na lang natin bukas sa itaas ng ring,? said Rosas.

The weigh-in today held at the Tramway Buffet along Roxas Boulevard was handled by the Games and Amusements Board led by boxing chief Dr. Nasser.

Reigning WBF International featherweight champion John Vincent ?Mulawin? Moralde (15W-0L-0D-7KOs) of Davao City and Jimmy ?Xcon Tirador? Aducal (8W-5L-2D-6KOs) of Samar both submitted 127 lbs. for their 10-round main supporting match.

?This is our inaugural boxing show here and we hope that the Manila boxing crowd will come tomorrow,? said Manangquil.

The undercard: super bantamweights Raymart Gaballo (12W-0L-0D) vs. Menard Abila (5W-5L-4D); featherweight Jenel Lausa (5W-0L-0D) vs. Roy Lagrada (3W-12L-1D); featherweight Markquil Salvana (10W-1L-0D) vs. Junjie Lauza (4W-16L-2D); light flyweights Glenne Calacar (1W-0L-4D) vs. Jun Jun Rimasog (0W-4L-2D); flyweights Jessie Caballes (2W-10L-0D) vs. Robert Mendano (0W-5L-0D); super featherweight Glen Bismanos (1W-0L-0D) vs. Reagan Dinlay (debut); super bantamweight Aiman Abubakar (debut) vs. Alimar Francisco (0W-1L-0D). ?
