After voting for the country?s next leaders at the May 9 national elections, it?s the people?s turn to run for a better future on May 29 at the ?DZMM Takbo Para sa Pamilyang Pilipino 2016,? which will be held at the Quirino Grandstand, in Manila.
Interested participants in the 3k, 5k, 10k, and 21k race categories may now register to run for the benefit of DZMM scholars until May 22 at the following locations: ABS-CBN Tulong Center at the ABS-CBN compound, Quezon City, RUNNR Stores at Bonifacio High Street and Trinoma, and Toby?s at Shangri La mall and Mall of Asia.
The leading AM radio station in Mega Manila is once again calling on health enthusiasts, professional runners, and families all over the nation to participate in the fun run that will raise funds for the education of DZMM scholars from Mega Manila and Cagayan De Oro who were affected by weather disturbances and typhoons that hit the nation such as Ondoy, Habagat, and Sendong.
DZMM believes that every member of the Filipino family is a winner through education.
This is the 17th year that DZMM is holding a fun run to raise funds for a special beneficiary. It helped in the rehabilitation of the La Mesa Watershed and the Pasig River through its ?DZMM Takbo Para sa Kalikasan? series. Shifting to ?DZMM Takbo para sa Karunungan? in 2011, it has supported the education of many young Filipinos from areas struck by calamities..
Race kits for the fun run for a cause, co-organized by RunRio are priced at P550 (3k), P650 (5k), P750 (10k), and P950 (21k). There is a 20% discount for senior citizens and a P50 for high school and college students that will register in-store.
The packages include a race kit, singlet, timing chip, and certificate of completion.
DZMM is the AM radio station of ABS-CBN, the leading media and entertainment company in the Philippines. DZMM (DZMM TeleRadyo) is also available on cable and digital television via SKYcable and ABS-CBN TVplus, and online via audio streaming at www.dzmm.com.ph.
