
PETALCORIN RIPPED AND READY FOR WBC SILVER TITLE FIGHT

WBA interim light flyweight champion Randy ?Razor? Petalcorin is ripped and ready for his vacant World Boxing Council Silver title fight with Omari ?Lion Boy? Kimeri of Tanzania on April 15 at The Melbourne Pavilion in Flemington, Victoria.
Youthful co-manager Jim Claude Manangquil of Sanman Promotions told The Standard ?Randy was already in Melbourne last April 3 to adjust to the climate.?
Petalcorin arrived in Melbourne together with his trainer Renie Gabawa and are now staying at the house of co-manager Peter Maniatis, an outstanding and multi-awarded Australian promoter.
Petalcorin, a native of Davao City has sparred a total of 100 rounds already against his stablemates Jenny Boy Buca, Jayson Mama and Renren Tesorio at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.
He trained for 50 days and made his final 12 practice sessions in Melbourne.
Manangquil said ?He is now ready to fight.? Manangquil, will follow his promising fighter this week.
Petalcorin who has a record of 23 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw with 18 knockouts had previously retained his crown in his first title-defense via a first round technical knockout over Yi Ming Ma last April 24 at the Capital Gym in Beijing, China.
Petalcorin was also awarded the 2015 Boxer of the Year in the 16th annual Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde Boxing Awards held in Manila together with co-awardee Rey ?Singwancha? Loreto, also of Davao City.
The 25-year old southpaw won the world title also by a TKO against Walter Tello last August 26, 2014 at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China.
