Las Vegas - There were concerns about Manny Pacquiao's conditioning and weight yesterday by key members of his team.

Buboy Fernandez, Pacquiao's trainer and close friend was concerned that the boxer has been training too hard in his third fight with Timothy Bradley and that he wanted Pacquiao to conserve his energy for Saturday's fight.

Fernandez estimated that Pacquiao is in the low 140's yesterday and he and other members of the team objected to Pacquiao wanting to train Thursday afternoon after a late morning jog.

Pacquiao heeded his team's advice and changed his mind at the last minute and canceled his workout at the Top Rank Gym in Las Vegas.

That decision proved to be beneficial in Pacquiao's official date with the scales Friday afternoon as he looked more of a welterweight than a lightweight despite weighing under the division's 147 pound limit.

A slim and fit Pacquiao weighed in at 145.5 lbs. while his opponent Bradley was a muscular 146.5 lbs. in the official weigh-in held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

"Expect more action in the ring (tomorrow) and a good fight than the last fight that we had," stated the Filipino superstar who was cheered heavily by the predominantly Pacquiao crowd.

Bradley, who has scored an upset but debatable win in their very first meeting is again playing the underdog role in this fight.

"This is another opportunity to show the world that I'm the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world and that I can beat Manny Pacquiao," said Bradley who is looking to score an inarguable victory this time.

"There's going to be a lot of disappointed fans out there," warned Bradley.
