Three CT Scans conducted on Czar Amonsot following initial findings that he may have had a little blood clot in his brain following his brutal WBO lightweight title fight with Michael Katsidis have proved negative.

Respected Cebu boxing patron Tony Aldeguer whose son Michael is with Amonosot at a Las Vegas Hospital said that three CT Scans conducted on the Filipino southpaw who won praise for his gallant stand Sunday were “all clear” and that one more MRI will be taken at 6:00 p.m. before the boxer is released from the hospital.

Aldeguer said the consensus was that there may have been a tiny blood clot but “outside the brain” and if there was, doctors wanted to make sure it would not progress to the brain.

MRI scanners (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) are good at looking particularly the brain and non bony parts or "soft tissues" and and the brain is seen much more clearly with MRI than with regular x-rays and CAT scans.
