When power punchers Roberto Gonzales of the Touch Gloves Boxing Gym of youthful promoter Elmer Anuran and Arjan Canillas of the ALA Gym clash at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig on Friday fight fans can expect a knockout.

The trainer of Canillas, Edito ?Ala? Villamor was quoted as saying ?Both Canillas and Gonzales are power punchers and they like to mix it up.??

He said Canillas has been training very hard for the showdown with Gonzales in an exciting fight card that will also feature former two-time world title challenger Bernabe Concepcion who has a record of 34-6-2 with 20 knockouts and another ALA Gym prospect Jimmy Paypa who has a record of 17-3-1 with 6 knockouts.

Anuran is certain that fight fans won?t be disappointed ?because both boxers are known for throwing big punches and unafraid to go toe-to-toe. This is going to be a thrilling bout? for the vacant Philippine lightweight title.

Gonzales who sports an impressive record of 26 wins and 2 defeats with 16 knockouts will battle Canillas who is unbeaten in 13 fights with 10 big knockouts.

Gonzales, a prot?g? of Anuran is keen to make ?a strong impression. Canillas is a very good foe but I am determined to win the title.??

Gonzales is coming off a lost to Japan?s Hirohito Fukuhara last November in Hyogo, Japan, but has since won six fights in a row, two by knockouts.

Gonzales, like Canillas knows the importance of the lightweight title bout and has trained hard for the fight on Friday.

Canillas is ranked No.1 in the latest Games and Amusements Board rankings while Gonzales is ranked No. 2.

International referee Ver Abainza will be the third man in the ring while the judges appointed for the fight are Jerrold Tomeldan, Oliver Garcia and Randy Caluag.
