Diosdado 'Prince' Gabi, the Filipino lefty managed by Freddie Roach who has been included in the World Cup event, believes that a change in how he looks is going to bring him good luck in his August 11 assignment.

"Gabi now has a new haircut. He now looks like rapper 50 Cents with his hip-hop cut. Amerikanong-amerikano na," said a source who just came from the Wild Card Gym today.

Gabi and his running partner Gerry Penalosa started running early today at 5AM in Griffith Park with conditioning coach Ola Ofalabi in attendance.

"Gerry and GAbi ran for 35 minutes going uphill.
Ang lakas ng resistensya. Di makasabay yung mga ordinary joggers," said another source.

The duo then took their breakfast after their morning run.

Then the two fighters went to the Wild Card Gym at 1130AM for their workouts.

Gabi and Penalosa hit the mitts with Eric Brown holding for 12 rounds.

Then each did the routine speed ball for 3 rounds, ten minutes on the skip rope, and heavy bag for 4 rounds. To wind down the day's training, the two shadow-boxed for 12 rounds and did a series of abdominal exercise.

Tomorrow, another round of sparring sessions take place so they will be running on flat terrain in the morning.
