Skill and experience pave the way to victory as expected. Accomplished boxers from Talisay City and Mandaue City registered impressive wins last night in the second leg of BOX-OFFS II at Lagtang barangay gym in Talisay City, Cebu.

National Open Boxing champion Berlan Robles scored an electrifying second round TKO win over regional champion Nicol Ramos of Cebu City. The heavy-handed pug from Tabunok, Talisay City overwhelmed his rival from the get-go and never let up, forcing a surrender from the corner of Ramos. Classy boxer Keyt Nino Abatayo displayed an awe-inspiring performance as he shut out Mandaue City pug Jimpol Dignos, taking a UD win. A few spectators can be overheard asking, "Kinsa ni siya? Maayo!" ("Who's this kid? He's good").

Another National Open Boxing champion, Alexander Bonita of Mandaue City defeated Jose Ortega via UD by virtue of being the accurate puncher while Pomar siblings, Marvin and Marco also secured rousing wins. Marvin of Barangay Pobacion, Talisay City and represents UV boxing team, landed enough body blows to outwork his visibly bigger opponent, Rolly Durong of Mandaue City. Marco Pomar and Richard Rama engaged in a torrid exchange of heavy leather with the former getting the better of his opponent and a UD win.

Jomar Sabado exacted revenge as he pummels former tormenter Alinor Mamao in their rematch for a lopsided UD victory. Trazo siblings, Justin and Joperson also defeated their respective opponents from Mandaue City, Clinton Martinez and Shan Toda via decision wins. Gaudfrey Lubiano triumphed over James Briones for a UD victory. Carlos "Donghe boxer" Canedo of Talisay City overpowered an intimidated Rodel Neura and won a UD victory.

Lagtang fighter Christian Gabriel Gingoyon defeated Ryan Labrador of Mandaue City. Jess Tavos imposed his physical advantage to beat Omair Mamao and Mardie Cardeno edged out Fritz Ramos of Cebu City for a split decision win. An exhibition bout between PBF bantamweight champion Junny "Payloader" Salogaol of Big Yellow boxing gym and undefeated 118-pounder Jeffry Estella of Mike Boxing/ Team Joeric was also witnessed by the raucous crowd.
