BOX-OFFS II TO SHOWCASE TALENTS FROM DIFFERENT AREAS IN CEBU

The second edition of BOX-OFFS in Lagtang, Talisay City later tonight at 7 pm in the barangay gymnasium will feature some of the best in Cebu open boxing. Included in the card are recent medalist from different national and zone championships.

Jomar Sabado takes on Alinor Mamao (26 kgs.) in a rematch, Justin Trazo fights Clinton Martinez in another 26 kg. match, Joperson Trazo will lock horns with Shan Toda, Jose Ortega of Talisay City will take on a gargantuan task of defeating reigning national Batang Pinoy champion Alexander Bonita of Mandaue City in 30 kgs., 34 kg. Talisay City pug Christian Gabriel Gingoyon will slug out with Mandaue City's Ryan Labrador, Carlos Canedo exchanges leathers with Rodel Neura (38 kgs.).

Keyt Nino Bacalso of Talisay City, another recent national Batang Pinoy medalist boxes off with Jimpol Dignos (38 kgs.) while James Briones takes on Gaudfrey Lubiano (42 kgs.), Omair Mamao battles Jess Tavos in a 49 kg. bout. Mardie Cardeno fights Nicol Ramos (44 kgs.) while another Batang Pinoy champion, Berlan Robles of Talisay City takes on another champion, 2016 CVIRAA gold medalist Nicol Ramos of Cebu City in a 46 kg. slugfest. Bemedaled Pomar brothers, Marvin (49 kgs.) and Marco (52 kgs.) will hurdle Rolly Durang and Richard Rama, respectively.

An exhibition match will pit PBF bantamweight champion Junny "Payloader" Salogaol of Big Yellow Boxing Gym against unbeaten 118-pounder Jeffry Estella of Team Joeric/ Mike Boxing.

This event is being sponsored by the public officials of Barangay Lagtang in cooperation with 10,000 BC Boxing Club and is one of the sporting festivities in line with the annual fiesta celebration of the barangay. Third leg of the grassroots event will be on the 26th of March.
