THE Sanman Promotions and T'boli Mayor Dibu Tuan are co-presenting another explosive boxing card billed as ?T'boli Thunder? on March 8 at the T'boli Municipal Gym in T'boli, South Cotabato.
The main event is a 12-round championship fight for the vacant Philippine super flyweight title between Sanman?s Raymond Tabugon of General Santos City and Renante Suacasa of Koronadal City.
?It?s our co-presentation with the sportsminded T'boli Mayor Dibu Tuan,? said Sanman Promotions Chief Executive Officer Jim Claude ?JC? Manangquil.
There will also be five other exciting bouts in the undercard of the boxing event that is again free to the public.
The first collaboration of Sanman and Mayor Tuan was also during last year?s T'boli Fiesta celebration held March 8.
Tabugon, then the International Boxing Organization (IBO) Inter-Continental light flyweight champion, also saw action in that card wherein he scored a unanimous decision win against the feisty Juan Purisima.
Tabugon, also a former WBC Asian Boxing Council light flyweight champion, has a record of 17 wins, 4 loses and 1 draw with 7 knockouts.
The 24-year old Tabugon won the IBO Inter-continental light flyweight crown by scoring a unanimous decision against South African Luzuko Siyo on December 12, 2014 at the Orient Theatre, East London, Eastern Cape in South Africa.
Tabugon also won by a UD against then-undefeated Jake Bornea for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental flyweight title last May 24, 2014 at the Lagao Gym in General Santos City.
Tabugon, however, bowed to Mexican Juan Hernandez by a technical knockout in his previous outing held November 14 last year in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Suacasa, on the other hand, previously won by a UD against Raymond Dayham last Sept. 27 in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
But he lost in his last fight by a split decision to Virgel Vitor held December 30 in Balamban, Cebu. ? LITO DELOS REYES
