Unbeaten featherweights John Vincent ?Mulawin? Moralde and Romeo ?Ruthless? Duno are in their best shape and ready to wage war in the ?Brawl at the Mall? fight card against separate opponents at the Atrium of the Atrium of the Gaisano Mall in General Santos City this Saturday.
The Chief Executive Officer of Sanman Promotions Jim Claude ?JC? Manangquil said ?Both Moralde and Duno are now in the best shape of their lives and are 100 percent ready to wage war on Saturday,? after both fighters went through their final two rounds of sparring and fopur rounds om the punch-mitts on Monday.
The youthful Manangquil said both Moralde and Dumo ?will do their light training now for this week,? before the official weigh-in set on Friday at 11 a.m. also at the Gaisano Mall Atrium.
The 21-year old Moralde is just three pounds over the 126 lbs. limit while Duno is four pounds over the 130 lbs. division when they tipped the scales last Monday.
But Manangquil confidently predicted ?that should not be a problem for them. They still have four days to make the limit.?
The undefeated Moralde who has a record of 14 wins with 7 knockouts will fight tough Anthony ?Zorro? Sabalde of Cebu who sports a record of 10 wins , 4 losses and 5 wins coming by way of knockouts.
They will clash for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International featherweight title over ten rounds in the main event while Duno who has an impressive 7 knockouts in 8 wins with no defeats will face Jason veteran ?Siaton Boy? Egera of Negros Oriental for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super featherweight crown in the main supporting bout.
Both Moralde and Duno have said they are going for a knockout.
Sabalde, however, has won his last two fights against Bonnie Makiling (unanimous decision) and Phil Angcamor (4th round by retirement). He also vowed to win by knockout over Moralde and to inflict the first setback of his career.
Meanwhile, current PBF minimum weight champion Ronnie ?Ultimate Warrior? Tanallon of General Santos City will make his first title-defense against veteran Rodel ?Hardworker? Tejares of Manila in the undercard.
