The Philippines' Nonoy Gonzales has been beaten in a Pan Asia Boxing Association middleweight title fight by Australia’s Jamie Pittman at the Crowne Plaza in New South Wales.

All three judges had Pittman winning by a shutout. Brian Mc Mahon scored it 120-105, Des Bloyd 120-101 and Mick Heafey 120-105 all for Pittman, the 25 year old southpaw who remains unbeaten in 14 fights with 7 knockouts.

The 30 year old Gonzales dropped to 22-20-2 with 12 knockouts and has lost nine of his last eleven fights with one technical draw and only one win.

On the same card another Filipino, welterweight Jun Geraldino suffered a first round knockout at the hands of promising young Australian Leonardo Zappavigna with referee Brad Griffith calling a halt at 1:47 of the opening round after Geraldino was dropped three times in a terrible mismatch.

While the 19 year old Zappavigna improved to 9-0 with 6 KO’s, Geraldino dropped to 2-8 with no knockouts and in fact lost his sixth straight, four of them by stoppage.
