DIALE DEFENDS OPBF TITLE AGAINST JONATHAN FRANCISCO

Oriental PacificBoxing Federation flyweight champion Ardin Diale will defend his title against southpaw Jonathan Francisco on February 20 in either Taguig or Mandaluyong City.

The 27 year old Diale has a record of 30-9-3 with 15 knockouts.
He won the vacant title with an impressive twelve round unanimous decision against tough Renoel Pael last December 2.

The 23 year old Francisco has a record of 8-4-1 with 2 knockouts and is ranked No. 2 in the Philippines and No. 4 by the OPBF.
His last fight against Japan?s Toshiyuki Igarashi ended in a 5th round technical draw at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

In a supporting title showdown World Boxing Council International flyweight champion Richard Claveras battles Jonathan Refugio.

Claveras has an impressive record of 12 knockouts in 14 wins with one loss and two draws.

He won the vacant title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Jerry Tomogdan last December 2 after losing by a 1st round TKO in a world title fight against champion Pedro Guevara in Mexico when Claveras who was aggressively pursuing Guevara got caught with one big shot.

The 22 year old Refugio has a record of 14-4-4 with 3 knockouts. He is coming off a 6th round win over veteran Fabio Marfa last January 12.

The fight card is being presented by Japan?s international promoter Ryuta Kato of United International Boxing Promotions and will be telecast by Viva Sports on its weekly top-rated program ?The Main Event? over Pinoy Box Office on Sky Cable.
