GIRL'S BOXING HIGHLIGHTS 10,000 BC BOXING CLUB'S BOX-OFFS

A first of it's kind fistic event will be featured in a box-off on Saturday, 30th of January at the 10,000 BC Boxing Gym in Pier 7, Lagtang, Talisay City, Cebu. Three pairs of young ladies undertaking the masculine art of pugilism take center stage and will fight in the card's main event bouts. A set of twins will face separate opponents in the event.

Inspired by the recent successes of female fighters and the desire to keep physically fit, these lovely ladies consider boxing a way to relay message that the sport is indeed a very good endeavor to undertake. All female boxers will be fighting their very first open boxing bouts. This, after several rounds of sparring and spar playing, gym head coach Rashied Bacus considers the girls ready to show their wares in a real boxing bout.

Blessed Hope Bacus, a 14-year old lass will take on another teenage girl in Princess Bago in a 40-kg bout. Another 14-year old young lady, Janine Basnillo trades leathers with Princess Bago's twin sister, Precious in 38-kg. bout. 9-year old Claire Tecson fights Ellah Mae Igloria in a 28-kg. fistfight. Seven other bouts will be contested in the event and are as follows: Alinor Mamao faces off with Jomar Sabado (26 kgs.), Win Cabradilla vs. Justin Trazo (27 kgs.), Christian Gabriel B. Gingoyon against Jose Ortega (36 kgs.), Omair Mamao vs. James Briones (48 kgs.), Alinaer Mamao against Mark Anthony Mandaue (50 kgs.). 2015 Philippine National Youth Games National Championships silver medalist Keyt Nino Bacalso Abatayo takes on Carlos Canedo in 39 kgs. division while University of the Visayas boxing team member Marvin Pomar slugs out with recent Batang Pinoy National Champion Berlan Robles in 49 kgs. weight class. felman gingoyon
