
EX WORLD BOXING CHAMPION O'NEIL BELL SHOT DEAD IN ATLANTA ROBBERY

Former world boxing champion O'Neil Bell was shot dead during a robbery in Atlanta.
The 41 year old Bell held the WBC, IBF and WBA world cruiserweight titles during his 13 year boxing career.
Atlanta Police Sgt. Warren Pickard said Bell was gunned down Wednesday morning and that Bell and another person were shot
while getting off a bus before two suspects robbed them.
Bell was pronounced dead at the scene in southwest Atlanta.
Bell who had held four different titles beat Rico Cason by a 1st round technical knockout in his last fight on December 17, 2011 when referee William Johnson stopped the fight after Cason ws dropped twice in the second round and ended his career
with a record of 27-4-1 with 24 knockouts.
Pickard says the second victim, who wasn?t identified, was shot in the hip and was taken to a hospital. Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
