An interesting fight card with double main events, a couple of promising young fighters, a women’s showdown and a couple of amateur fights will be staged by promoter Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde Jr at the Socialized Housing Gym in Filinvest, Alabang on Saturday.
Veteran Celso Danggod battles Mario De Asis and talented Jason Egera clashes with another veteran Jun Magsipoc in a pair of ten rounders that should provide fight fans with solid action.
In an eight round supporting bout hard hitting Raymond Sermona, nicknamed “Foreman” because of his solid build and punching power clashes with rugged southpaw Jongjong Gagante . Sermona is undefeated with 7 wins, 2 draws and 5 wins coming by way of knockouts and is looking to keep his unblemished record.
Former amateur champion Warlito Parrenas who is managed and trained by former Australian fighter Terrance Mogg takes on undefeated Jino Qulitar in what should prove to be a stiff test for Mogg’s prot?g?.
Two undefeated newcomers who both won in their pro debuts, Agapito Bulima and Japeth Martin face off in a six round featherweight encounter while a pair of minimum weights who also made successful pro debuts. Alvin Cruel and Mansueto Bacaltos Jr meet in another six round bout.
In the women’s four rounder Marnelle Verano takes on Babay Teckok. The fights will be telecast on the top-rated weekly boxing show “The Main Event” telecast on Sundays at 4 p.m. over RPN 9, sponsored by Tanduay, the No.1 Rhum, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
