UNDEFEATED Markquil Salva?a of General Santos City will face knockout artist Jason Moloney of Australia for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Oceania super bantamweight title on December 2 at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

This was announced by Salva?a's young manager Jim Claude Manangquil of the Sanman Promotions.

Salva?a, who has an impressive record of nine straight wins with three knockouts, no loss or draw, has already been training at the Sanman gym for two weeks.

The 18-year old native from Cagayan de Oro City previously won against former Philippine champion Philip Parcon via a 6th round technical knockout last Sept. 26 at the Gaisano Mall Atrium in Gensan.

?Salva?a is confident that he can beat Jason Moloney and bring home the title,? said Mananquil.

Moloney, however, is also undefeated with a clean record of four straight wins all by TKO.

?Moloney has already beaten two Filipino boxers all by knockouts,? said Mananquil.

In his last fight, Moloney survived a second round knockdown to stop Filipino Danilo Gabisay of Bulacan in the 5th round last Aug. 19 at the Hisense Arena.

Moloney, who hails from Victoria, made his successful pro debut with a first round stoppage over Ngaotawan Sithsaithong last Aug. 15, 2014 at the Melbourne Pavilion. His next victim was Indonesian Egy Rozten also by a first round TKO on Oct. 17 last year at the La Mirage Convention Center in Victoria.

Moloney continued his winning form with a 3rd round TKO victory against another Filipino Alvin Bais of Gensan last March 6, 2015 at the Royal Exhibition Building also in Victoria. - LITO DELOS REYES
