Former two division flyweight champion Brian Viloria and WBO light flyweight champion Donnie Nietes sparred for the second time this week at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach and ?looked very impressive? according to ALA Gym head trainer Edito ?Ala? Villamor.

In an overseas telephone conversation with the New Standard/boxingmirror.com, Villamor said both fighters enjoyed a ?great workout and both guys moved really well and showed us how good they are.?

He said there was no need to be concerned about Viloria?s stamina pointing out that Brian also went three additional rounds with a tough, promising young Mexican and proved his ?stamina was no problem.?

Nietes also sparred three rounds with the Mexican whose name they couldn?t recall but said that Roach considers him a real prospect and a possible future champion.

The Pagara brothers and Magsayo didn?t spar today because their weight is down and ?when they spar here it?s a real fight.?
Villamor emphasized ?they are all ready? for their battles on October 17.

Roach?s assistant trainer Marvin Somodio who works with Viloria said the sparring between Brian and Nietes ?was the best so far.?
He told us Viloria was ?in fine condition and there?s no problem with his stamina.

Somodio predicted Viloria?s showdown with undefeated pound for pound No.1, WBC flyqweight champion Roman ?Chocolatito? Gonzalez of Nicaragua ?should be a great fight? and he believes Brian ?can win because the style favors him.?

He said ?Chocolatito?s style ?is perfect for Brian and that?s his advantage.? He promised ?there will be no running all face-to-face action.?

Team Viloria will leave for New York on Sunday, one week before the showdown at Madison Square Garden on October 17, the same day that Nietes defends his title for the 8th time against Mexican champion Juan ?Pinky? Alejo at the StubHub Center in Carson City, California in the inaugural US presentation of ALA Promotions also starring undefeated IBF Intercontinental super bantamweight champion Prince Albert Pagara, his elder brother WBO No. 2 light welterweight Jason Pagara and unbeaten IBF Youth champion Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo.

The ?Pinoy Pride 33? fight card will be telecast on Sunday, October 18 over ABS-CBN Channel 2 with five division world champion Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire doing the commentary with Dyan Castillejo.
