After a few moments feeling his opponent out, Marcial began to catch the Egyptian, who was also a southpaw, with some solid combinations and nailed Muhammad with a hard right hand followed by a flurry of punches forcing referee Rehi Asanau of Belarus to give the Egyptian boxer a standing eight count at 1:42 of the round.

Marcial continued to press the action although Said Muhammad tried to fight back but Marcial caught him with another vicious combination after which the referee gave Said Muhammad a second standing eight count with 1:14 remaining in the round.

The referee gave Said Muhammad a third standing eight count before sending the hapless Egyptian to his corner and signaling the end at 2:59 of the opening round.
