Escalante.
?Pinoy Pride 33? has been given an added boost by the inclusion of IBA super flyweight champion Bruno Escalante and a fighter being trained by ?Dodong? Donaire, father/trainer of five division world champion Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire, super bantamweight Adam Fiel.

The 27 year old Escalante who hails from Cebu but now lives in Redwood City, California has a record of 13-1-1 with 6 knockouts but hasn?t fought since a successful defense of his title against Victor Ruiz last April 5, 2014.

Escalante won the vacant IBA 115 pound title with a unanimous ten round decision over Michael Ruiz Jr on December 7, 2013 and then scored an impressive 4th round knockout over Mexico?s Lorenzo Trejo on February 28, 2014.

ALA Promotions hasn?t been able to line-up an opponent for Escalanate for the six round bout as yet.

Also added to the inaugural fight card of the famed ALA Promotions at the StubHub Center in Carson City, California is 26 year old featherweight Adam Fiel who is undefeated with a record of 6-0 with 2 knockouts. He will face Michael Gaxiola who has a record of 4-3 with no knockouts and will also figure in a six round bout.

Fiel is coming off a majority four round decision over Jorge Sillas last May 30 after previously hammering Erik Jimenez Maldonado into submission in winning by a 2nd round TKO in a scheduled four round bout.

Gaxiola who won his first three fights and then lost the next three has snapped out of the losing streak with a good win over Christian Alejandro Silva in a six round bout last August 22.
In an overseas telephone conversation with the New Standard/boxingmirror.com Donaire Sr said Fiel is being currently handled by another trainer since he is spending most of his time with his son Nonito. Donaire who is preparing for a December bout possibly with WBO No. 1 super bantamweight contender Cesar Juarez of Mexico, while Escalante is under Brian Schwartz, owner of the Undisputed Gym.

"Dodong" Donaire told us they were having problems finding an opponent for Escalante.
