GEN. SANTOS CITY (Sept. 25) ? WBA Oceania bantamweight champion Kenny Demecillo and WBA Youth bantamweight king Daryl ?Flash? Basadre both submitted lower weights today for their much-awaited return bout tomorrow at the Gaisano Mall Atrium here.
Demecillo, who won by a shocking second round knockout in their first encounter last June in another mall, only submitted 114 lbs. while Basadre tipped the scales at 115 lbs. for their 118 lbs. 10-round encounter.

?Natingala ko sa ilahang timbangan kay 118 pa man ko ganinang buntag,? said 23-year old Demecillo (10 wins, 3 loses, 1 draw).
Demecillo?s trainer Ping-Ping Tepora from Omega Boxing Gym confirmed that they are really going for a knockout.
?Kailangan i-knockout dyud para wala nay lain pay masulti,? said Tepora, who immediately prepared his fighter for the rematch two weeks after that controversial fight.

During their first fight, referee Ramuel Ovalo stopped the bout at 2:54 when Basadre fell down while backpedaling. Basadre?s camp claimed that the referee should have not immediately stopped the fight.

Basadre (14 wins, 2 loses, 1 draw) said that he is now more prepared and focused to face Demecillo.

?Mas naka-prepared ko karon ug mas kondisyon pud ko,? said the 22-year old Basadre.

This time, Basadre and Demecillo are vying for the vacant WBF Asia-Pacific bantamweight title with another referee according to promoter Jim Claude Manangquil of Sanman Promotions.

?Pipili pa kami kina Alberto Heramil o si Abdul Marajan kung sino ang mag referee sa main event,? said Arlene Olondriz, officer-in-charge of the Games and Amusements Board Southern Mindanao.

Pitted in the main supporting bout is the championship fight for the vacant WBF Asia-Pacific featherweight between undefeated Ricar Metuda (7-0-0) of Sanman Boxing Club and Jason Tinampay (7-1-0) of Bohol.

Metuda tipped at 126 lbs. while Tinampay submitted 122 lbs. only.
The co-supporting bout features WBC Asia featherweight title-holder John Vincent ?Mulawin? Moralde (13-1-0) of Davao against Jerry Castroverde (7-1-0) of Cebu. Moralde only tipped at 123 lbs. while Castroverde made it a 125 lbs.

The undercard: Markquil ?Gunz Salvana vs. Philip Parcon (8 rds.), ?Magic? Mike Angelou Plania vs. Roland Magluyan (8 rds.), World Boxing Council Asia and International Boxing Organization (IBO) Inter-continental flyweight champion Raymond ?Tornado?
