Jean (R).
A former sparring partner of eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao who helped Pacquiao prepare for his showdown with undefeated pound for pound No.1 Floyd Mayweather Jr will fight WBO super lightweight champion Terence Crawford at the Century Link Center in Omaha on October 24.

Crawford made the announcement at a press conference which Dierry Jean, Pacquiao?s sparring partner failed to attend after he lost his passport two days ago.

He may have lost his passport but the former Haitian who fights out of Montreal, Canada has no plans of losing in his title bid against the undefeated Crawford.

Dierry Jean?s manager Camille Estephan said ?Dierry asked for this fight. He has the style and the power to beat Crawford. Dierry only wants to fight and beat the best.?

Jean?s manager Mike Moffa added, ?it will be an honor for Dierry to take Crawford?s world title belt back to Canada where it truly belongs.?

Crawford responded by stating he would be ?100 percent prepared, probably more than one hundred percent because of the way Dierry?s team has been talking.?

Crawford?s manager Brian McIntyre was far more blunt when he said ?this is getting personal. All Dierry Jean will be getting is a good ass whipping. He will be no factor against Terence.?

Dierry was picked by Pacquiao?s adviser Michawel Koncz to be one of Manny?s sparring partners during his preparation for the Mayweather showdown.

Dierry ?All In? Jean who has lived in Canada since he was 10 years old went three rounds with Pacquiao in their first sparring session at the Wild Card Gym and reportedly fights very much like Mayweather.

Dierry is 33 years old and has a record of 29-1 with 20 knockouts with his only loss coming in an IBF super lightweight title fight against Lamont Peterson.

The reigning North American Boxing Federation champion is coming off a ten round unanimous decision win over Jerry Belmontes last June 20. He won the vacant NABF title with an 11th round TKO over Ivan Cano on October 26, 2012.

The 27 year old Crawford who is undefeated with a record of 26-0 with 18 knockouts wn the vacant WBO super lightweight title with an impressive 6th round TKO over Thomas Dulorme last April 18.
