FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR SAYS HIS SON WANTS EASY FIGHTS

The father/trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr, the undefeated pound for pound king says his son is looking to get in some easy fights before he retires. But if that?s the case Floyd Sr believes is that?s the way Mayweather is going to approach whats left of his career, then he should retire right away instead of sticking around for easy fights.

Mayweather Sr told Mlive.com ?Floyd told me he wants to get a couple of easy fights. My honest opinion is, if he feels that way he should get out of the game.?

Indications are that Mayweather Jr who has an unblemished record of 48-0 with 26 knockouts will face Andre Berto in his announced final ring battle on September 12 in Las Vegas although there?s nothing definite even as WBC welterweight Silver champion Amir Khan keeps needling Mayweather to try and get a fight without any success so far.

There are some fight fans who still believe that Mayweather will possibly face eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao after he disposes of Berto and moves to 49-0, equaling the record of heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano before taking on Pacquiao in a rematch to cement his kegacy with a 50-0 record.

But Pacquiao has to first make sure that the tear in his right rotator cuff is healed completely following surgery after his May 2 ?Fight if the Century? when Pacquiao in a post fight press conference claimed he hurt his shoulder in the 4th round .
