UNDEFEATED featherweight boxer Rinmar Metuda is now officially under the Sanman Boxing Promotion and Stable in General Santos City.
Metuda (7 wins, 3 KOs) signed up a 4-year contract with 21-year old Jim Claude Manangquil, who is considered as the world?s youngest boxing manager-promoter.
?Metuda might next see action on September 26 under Sanman Promotions possibly for a regional title-fight,? said Manangquil.
In his last outing, Metuda previously scored a convincing unanimous decision against previous undefeated Jerry Castroverde (5-1-0) last June 7 at the Robinsons Mall Gensan.
The 5-foot-6 Metuda, a native of Cagayan de Oro City, turned pro without having a registered manager but was still able to remain undefeated.
In his pro debut, Metuda beat Albert Campilan by unanimous decision on October 27, 2013 in Mambajao, Camiguin. He also scored a UD against Venjie Patac in his second outing then stopped Reynold Salon by a 2nd round technical knockout in Camiguin last May 4, 2014 in Mambajao.
Metuda stopped Jomar Ministerio in the 4th round by a technical decision on August 16, 2014 in Zamboanga del Sur.
He continued his winning ways by pummeling to submission former Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) champion Philip Parcon of Cotabato in the 2nd round by a TKO last January 31 at the University of Southeastern Philippines Gym in Davao City.
Also this year, Metuda went to T?boli, South Cotabato on March 8 to stop Ronnie Buscato only in the first round at the T'Boli Municipal Gym.
Manangquil said that Metuda is a ?southpaw that knows how to box inside and outside.?
?In his last fight (against Castroverde) he showed he has a heart. We see great potential on Metuda, who has power in both two hands,? said Manangquil. ? LITO DELOS REYES
