World Boxing Organization Oriental super flyweight champion Warlito Parrenas tipped the scales at a surprisingly light 51 kg or 112.42 pounds for his Interim title fight against David Carmona of Mexico in Hermosillo on Sunday, Manila Time.
Tuto Zabala Jr relayed the weights to the New Standard/boxingmirror.com after the weigh-in where Carmona tipped the scales exactly at the 115 pound limit causing some concern among Filipino fight fans who wondered why Parrenas came in just above the flyweight limit.

Boxing Scene informed us that according to Mexican promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions, Parrenas weighed 113 pounds which is still two pounds lighter than Carnona who looked bigger at the weigh-in.

The fear is that the 31 year old Parrenas who is known to be the harder puncher with 21 knockouts in 25 wins compared to the 24 year old Carmona who has just 8 knockouts in 19 wins may be affected by the weight difference.
