REIGNING World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council Continental featherweight champion John Vincent ?Mulawin? Moralde of Davao City finally makes a ring comeback to fight Fil-American William ?Black Slugger? George of Kidapawan City on July 11 at the Robinsons Mall in General Santos City.

The 10-rounder bout is the undercard in the ?Ang Laban ng Heneral? boxing promotion of Ran-Ran Bernardo and Brian Golingan.
It will be Moralde?s first fight since winning his WBC ABCC title by a convincing unanimous decision against previously unbeaten Brayd Smith last March 14 in Queensland, Australia.
Smith was in coma after the fight and later died in the hospital on March 16.

?I hope that Moralde has recovered from that incident. This is a good fight for him before he goes again for a big fight later this year,? said Moralde?s boxing manager Jim Claude Manangquil.
The 21-year old Moralde, who is based in General Santos City under the Sanman Boxing Promotions has reportedly been training for three months now.

?So I guess he is now in tip top shape,? said the 21-year old Mananquil, the youngest boxing promoter in the world.
Moralde is still undefeated with a record of 12 wins with 6 knockouts and no draw. He also won the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International super bantamweight title via a unanimous decision against Indonesian Jason Butar-butar last Sept. 13, 2014 in Lagao Gym, Gensan.

Moralde also stopped Ronrex Dalut by a second round technical knockout in Bula Gym in Gensan last July 2, 2014 to capture the Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super bantamweight crown.
Moralde, a former top amateur boxer, pummeled to submission former world champion Rolando Navarette?s son Rolando Navarette Jr. in the fourth round last July 22, 2013 in Bantayan, Cebu.
George, on the other hand, is a Fil-Black American born in Kidapawan City.

He previously lost by a first round knockout to Moralde?s stablemate WBF featherweight champion Harmonito dela Torre in Panabo City last April 5. But George was not prepared against Dela Torre during that time.

?George, who is a Black American is now prepared to fight? said Manangquil.

George has a record of 10 wins, 3 KOs but with 22 loses.
?Kulang lang sa praktis itong si George. Magaling sana at malakas sumuntok,? said boxing matchmaker Romy Fordaliza.
