WBA HAS ITS OWN TROPHY FOR WINNER OF ?FIGHT OF THE CENTURY?

Not to be outdone by the World Boxing Council which has a magnificently crafted $1million ?Emerald Belt? voted on by fights fans around the world, the World Boxing Association has come up with ?The Man of Triumph? trophy which will also be presented to the winner of what promises to be an epic battle between two of the finest boxers in the world today --- unbeaten pound for pound No.1 Floyd Mayweather Jr and eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao.

The one-of-a-kind award ?Man of Triumph? created by SARTONK is a bronze sculpture that stands 16 inches tall, with fists gloriously raised overhead and is designed to immortalize the concept of triumph. The artistic use of geometric formations and intersecting the chiseled anatomy of an ideal, universally recognized as triumph.

The winner of the Mayweather-Pacquiao clash will be awarded the ?Man of Triumph? trophy along with a gold-plated WBA super champion belt, The other fighter will receive a rhodium-plated version of the same belt. The occasion-specific belts will feature metal portraits of Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather is the WBA and WBC welterweight champion while Pacquiao is the WBO champion.

WBA vice president Gilberto Mendoza said ?No doubt this will be the biggest fight in the history of our sport and the WBA is proud to be part of this event. Floyd and Manny represent the biggest talent and greatest champions boxing has on offer the last decade. Simply put, all of us at the WBA want to honor this historic occasion with this special award, ?Man of Triumph? showing our respect and appreciation to all the fight fans around the globe and these two extraordinary fighters.?
