The first in a three-part series on the ?Battle for Greatness? between eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao and undefeated pound for pound No. Floyd Mayweather Jr will be telecast on the top-rated weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday with a replay at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday over Pinoy Box Office (PBO) on Sky Cable, nationwide.

Reports by respected broadcast journalist Keiran Mulvaney on what triggered the eventual agreement on the fight and the red carpet press conference and excellent features on Mayweather, produced by Showtime and Pacquiao presented by HBO Sports set the stage for what promises to be an epic encounter on May 3 Manila Time.

A brief insight into the Justin Beiber intrusion shows Manny at his best.

The one man eminently qualified to break down the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is American trainer Rick Staheli who steered Pacquiao to his first world title ? the WBC flyweight crown.
A flashback to Pacquiao?s spectacular 8th round KO victory opens the introduction of Staheli who takes an initial look at the fight and its possibilities while former Ring Magazine and KO magazine Manila correspondent Ted Lerner introduces an interesting dimension to the fight.

Many people believe to this day that Mayweather should be 47-1 having lostn his first clash with Jose Luis Castillo in April 2002 but the judges gave Floyd the decision.

The show will have highlights of the Mayweather-Castillo fight.
Another bout that ended in some controversy was Mayweather?s split decision win over Oscar De La Hoya.

Some highlights of that fight will enable fans to judge for themselves.

?The Battle for Greatness? is the perfect buildup to a five that has been five years in the making.

Its must view television for Filipino boxing fans.
