The World Boxing Council notes that while workers of the world unite on May Day, the very next day is reserved for the most anticipated boxing clash between WBC welterweight and super welterweight Champion Floyd MayweatherJr Vs Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The WBC recalls that while many great encounters have been dubbed: ?Fight of the Century? the Pacquiao-Mayweather clash ?will hopefully live up to that epithet, because of the fascinating contrast of styles. Floyd Mayweather has developed and blended himself into an elite defensive and stylist boxer. While Manny Pacquiao is famed for his speed and non stop aggressive tactics. The World waited almost six long years for ink to be applied to the dotted line.?

The WBC website said that ?up to this point, MEGAFIGHT is by far the most lucrative boxing match in history, with Floyd earning 120 million dollars while Manny accepts the not to be sneezed at 80 million dollars!?

It said ?this all contains the ingredients and flavor of legend, and it?s hoped both Floyd and Manny will serve up brilliance plus pure drama comparable to other truly great fights which have merited a rare gold standard which include Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier.

Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran (I), Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling (II), Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Meldrick Taylor (I), Oscar de la Hoya vs. Felix Trinidad, Tommy Hearns vs. Marvin Haggler and Mike Tyson vs. Michael Spinks.

The WBC also cited Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez (4), Floyd Mayweather vs. Saul Alvarez and Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson (I).
