Promoter Sammy Gello-ani has made it clear that he will not allow Froilan ?The Sniper? Saludar to fight tough Juan Francisco Estrada of Mexico for Estrada?s World Boxing Organization flyweight title in Merida on March 28, which is 29 in Manila.

Gello-ani told the New Standard/Viva Sports ?no way. It cannot be. I refused the offer because Saludar is not ready for a March 28 fight."

However, he said ?if the fight is sometime in May it is acceptable because I want Saludar to be in good shape.?

The 25 year old Saludar is recovering from a stunning 2nd round TKO loss to Puerto Rico?s McWilliams Arroyo on June 19, 2014 in an IBF title eliminator which was his first setback.

Since then Saludar has won by a 2nd round TKO over Juan Purisima and followed it up with a ten round unanimous decision over Michael Escobia last February 14.

Dr. Rajan Yraola in whose Quezon City Gym Saludar trained for the Arroyo fight under Jun Agrabio, is reportedly training in Cagayan de Oro since Agrabio is in the US with Marvin Sonsona and Johnreil Casimero.

The 24 year old Estrada who won the title by a split decision over Brian Viloria in Macau on April 6, 2013 in an excellent bout and also captured Viloria?s WBA crown, then went on to beat two more Filipino challengers.

Estrada overcame the challenge of previously undefeated Milan Melindo in another great ring battle, scoring a twelve round unanimous decision on July 27, 2013 and then won by a 10th round TKO over Richie Mepranum on April 26, 2014.

Estrada who has a record of 31-2 with 22 knockouts scored an 11th round TKO over fellow Mexican Giovanni Segura on September 6, 2014. Segura had earlier lost by an 8th round TKO to Viloria on December 11, 2011.
