A tremendous World Boxing Council middleweight title fight in which undefeated Kazakh fighter Gennady Golovkin scored an 11th round TKO victory over a game Martin Murray of Britain had an added royal experience.

The WBC reported that since Prince Albert of Monaco already has a Crown, World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman decided to present the Prince with a fabled green and gold WBC belt.

The WBC website said that Monte Carlo was the gracious host of the tremendous fight between WBC Interim Champion Gennady Golovkin and Martin Murray. Befitting a glittering Principality, the two waged a battle royale for the Grimaldi Royal Family, Monegasques and the rest of the World, before Gennady vanquished a gallant Martin in the eleventh, when the Referee intervened.

Mauricio Sulaiman who spoke with Prince Albert said: "It was a great honor and pleasure to meet Prince Albert. He's kind and he's down to earth. He's also a keen sportsman, who loves Boxing.?

Sulaiman added "It was wonderful to have been with him in Monaco, and to have presented him with the WBC belt. There's going to be a big sporting event in Monaco in October and other events are planned for the coming year."
