For the first time since the famed ?Thrilla in Manika? on October 1, 1975 between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, Filipino boxing fans will get a chance to watch two Asian heavyweights in action on the Viva Sports top rating weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? telecast over Pinoy Box Office (PBO) on Sky Cable nationwide at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday with a replay at 10:30 a.m, On Sunday.

In the featured bout Japan?s No. 8 ranked heavyweight Rio Hidaka battled Indonesia?s David Koswara of Indonesia in a battle of big men fro the WBC Asia Continental heavyweight championship before a big crowd at the Angono Sports Complex last Sunday

In an Aljoe Jaro promotion that had a solid international flavor with Japanese, Korean and Indonesian fighters, fight fans eager to watch the big boys in action with Hidaka coming in at 219 pounds and Koswara who looked like a darker version of Butterbean tipping the scaled at 229 pounds.

In the supporting bout Super flyweight Sonny Boy Jaro who has a record of 38-13-5 with 27 big knockouts including a sensational 6th round upset stoppage of WBC ?Fighter of the Year? Pongsaklek Wonjongkam takes on Albert Alcoy in another ?stay busy? fight. while talented Japanese lightweight Kenichi Yamaguchi (17-3-2, 4 KO?s) clashes with Indonesia?s Hendrick Barongsay (28-20-3 with 17 knockouts in a six round bout.
