Former five division world champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire is ready to face Brazil's William Prado in big ALA Promotions-ABS-CBN fight card at the Mall of Asia arena on March 28.

After a fairly long search for a worthy opponent, Donaire's father/ trainer "Dodong" Donaire told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that they had agreed to fight the 31 year old Brazilian who has a record of 22-4-1 with 15 knockouts.

In his last fight on April 12 this year Prado won by a first round TKO over Marcelo Bispo who was apparently making his debut in a bout which was aimed to regain his confidence following a third round knockout at the hands of Scott Quigg who is the reigning world champion with a record of 25-0-1 with 14 knockouts.

It's similar to a confidence-boosting return to the ring by Donaire after his crushing 6th round stoppage by the bigger, stronger Nicholas Walters of Jamaica who captured the WBA featherweight super title from Donaire who is moving back to super bantanmweight where he registered four impressive wins in 2012 and was named "Fighter of the Year."

Prado has has fought some tough opponents in his career. He dropped a twelve round decision to Jeremy Parodi who had a record of 33 wins against one loss ina clash for the IBF International super bantamweight title on October 5, 2012 and also lost by a twelve round decision to Paulus Ambunda in a battle for the vacant International title on July 28, 2012.

Donaire's father/trainer told us Nonito has been training very hard and is in great shape as he looks forward to putting on great show for Filipino fight fans.
