With the multi-million dollar showdown between eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao and undefeated pound for pounbd king Floyd Mayweather Jr days away from becoming reality according to executive vice president and general manager of Showtime Sports Stephen Espinoza, it would be certainly interesting to hear what Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has to say on the latest developments.

ABS-CBN?s Peter Musgni who hosts the program ?Teka Muna? over dzMM Teleradyo on Saturdays from 7:00 ? 8:00 p.m. has arranged an interview with the astute Top Rank promoter Bob Arum which will be broadcast between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Musngi who has been credited as the man behind the immensely successful ?Pinoy Pride? series of ALA Promotions in partnership with the giant broadcast network ABS-CBN said that when he spoke to Arum to arrange the interview he sounded upbeat and was optimistic that the fight planned for May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will happen.

However, the Manila Standard/Viva Sports learned that no contracts have been finalized as yet because there are still some details to be hammered out.

Espinoza himself indicated that there are issues between the fighters and promoters and the networks that have to be ironed out but at the same time said they have been making good progress and hopefully within a few days maybe there?ll be something positive to report.

Pacquiao?s longtime adviser Michael Koncz informed the Standard that Pacquiao and him had agreed that any announcement on the fight would be made by Mayweather.

In the wake of the recent developments and the two face-to-face meetings between Pacquiao and Mayweather at which Koncz was present and has kept Arum updated, the interview of the Top Rank promoter should provide an idea of the latest developments about the fight that may happen four years too late but which fight fans are still eager to witness.
