
BASADRE BATTLES UNBEATEN  THAI FOR VACANT WBC YOUTH BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE

Daryl ?Flash? Basadre battles undefeated Thai Yodsingdaeng Tor Chaijinda for the vacant WBC Youth bantamweight title at the Sangyo Hall in Kanagawa City, Japan on Sunday.
The 22 year old Basadre has a record of 13-1-1 with 9 knockouts while the Thai fighter who is also 22 years old, has an unbeaten record of 6-0 with 4 knockouts and while he won his last four fights by stoppage, three of his opponents were making their pro debuts according to boxrec.com.
Basadre on the other hand won the World Boxing Federtion International super flyweight championship with a 2nd round TKO over veteran Julius Alcos and in his last fight on September 9 scored an eight round unanimous decision over Philip Parcon.
Basadre?s manager Jim Claude Manangquil told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that Basadre had sparred a total of 110 rounds during his two months training and among his sparring partners was talented Drian Francisco.
A confdident Manangquil said he expect Basadre to score an easy victory considering his experience and the quality opponents he has faced in the past.
It will be Basdre?s fifth fight this year. The team leaves for Japan on Friday.
