With Manny Pacquiao's destruction of his last foe fresh in the minds of boxing fans, talks of a potential super fight with American superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. is again in circulation.

Pacquiao and his team reiterated in the hours following his win over Chris Algieri that they really want to fight Mayweather Jr. next, possibly in the first half of the year.

"The people deserved that fight. The fans deserve that fight.I think it's time to make that fight happen," stated Pacquiao.

Bob Arum, his promoter, supported his boxer and also expressed interest in renewing negotiations with the Mayweather camp, negotiations that has stalled at least twice.

Arum said that their phone lines are always open and that they will be waiting for calls from the Mayweather camp with regards to anything about the fight.

Mayweather who has not released any statement regarding the subject, break his silence Wednesday morning - kind of.

The undefeated welterweight and Super welterweight champ took to social media again and made fun of Pacquiao's knockout defeat against Juan Manuel Marquez on Instagram.

Mayweather showed clips of Pacquiao getting knocked down and knocked out repeatedly by Marquez in 2012 to the tune of "Another one bites the dust" by Queen.

The 15 second video has 50 thousand likes on it's first 6 hours of posting but the boxer also received numerous negative comments regarding the video and his reluctance to fight Pacquiao.

This is not the first time that Mayweather has made fun of Pacquiao, he has been targeting the rival ever since their names were linked together.

The reaction to Mayweather's latest social media taunt shows how the public is enamored by this fight and how both fighters and their choice of opponent will be watched in 2015 - hoping that both duke it out in the ring and not only on social media.
