Undefeated WBO International super bantamweight champion Genesis ?Azukal? Servania battles No. 4 ranked European champion Zsolt Bedak of Hungary for the WBO Interim title on January 31 in Budapest.
ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that the 23 year old Servania who is ranked No. 2 behind a record of 25-0 with 11 knockouts expects a tough fight against Bedak, the former 2014 Olympian who defeated Abner Mares in the Round of 32 in Athens by a wide 36-27 margin.
The 31 year old Bedak, nicknamed ?Mr. Left Hook? has a record of 22-1 with 8 knockouts to his name.
However, Servania has been training hard and will be ready to face the challenge of Bedak who won the vacant European title with a 10th round TKO over George Gachechiladze of Georgia on March 8 this year after dropping him in the 9th and 10th rounds.
Bedak beat Filipino Ramie Laput on December 4, 2009 via a 7th round knockout but lost to Wilfredo Vazquez Jr, the champion at that time by a 10th round TKO on May 29, 2010.
The sweet-punching Servania won the WBO International title with a smashing 2nd round TKO on October 26, 2013.
In his first title defense on March 1, 2014 Servania won by a 12th round TKO over Alexander Munoz dropping him in the 2nd, 9th and 12 th rounds to score a smashing victory and in his last fight on September 5 this year before a sell-out crowd at the International Trade Center in Dubai.
