His WBO lightweight title fight with Paquiao at the Cotai Arena, Venetian Hotel will be his first fight outside New York.

Rocky star Sylvester Stallone praised Algieri for his Rocky-like win when he was down twice in the first round, suffered a badly swollen right eye, but outboxed Ruslan Provodnikov in the next 11 rounds for a split decision win.

?It was Rocky-esque. As for his fight against Manny Pacquiao on November 22, all I can say to you Chris is great movies deserve great sequels and I won?t be the least surprised to see you give us one in Macau,? said the 68-year-old Hollywood legend who portrayed the role of Rocky Balboa in the Rocky series from 1976 to 2006.

Algieri landed 288 of 993 punches (29 percent) while Provodnikov connected 205 of 776 (26 percent), according to CompuBox statistics.

Algieri will earn a career-high payday of $1.4 million which is more than 10 times his previous biggest purse, which was $100,000 against Provodnikov. Pacquiao is set to receive more than $20 million.

In a kickboxing world title fight Algieri's biggest purse was only $3,000.

?I?m going to set a wicked pace,? he said when asked what he will do against Pacquiao. ?I?m going to box smartly. I going to put pressure and be in his face all night along and I?m going to dominate down the stretch.?
