Ancajas.
Two promising boxers who fight under the aegis of MP Promotions will see action on two big fight cards in November and December.
Pacquiao?s adviser Michael Koncz who handles the affairs of MP Promotions told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that 22 year old super flyweight Jerwin Ancajas (21-1-1, 13 KO?s) will face Tanzania?s 21 year old Fadhili Majiha (15-5-4, 7 KO?s) on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao?s WBO welterweight title defense against unbeaten junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri on November 23 (Manila Time) in Macau.
Meantime, 23 year old super flyweight Aston Palicte (14-1, 12 KO?s) will clash with a still undetermined opponent in Shanghai, China on December 16.
Konz said Palicte is being given a fight in Shanghai as ?a reward and a bonus for a spectacular knockout in Davao last Saturday against Gerpaul Valero, a veteran of 33 fights.
Koncz was enthusiastic about Palicte saying ?I have high hopes for this boxer. He reminds me somewhat of Manny when he fights, using combinations, his hand-speed and working with angles.?
Palicte?s only loss was when he retired in the fourth round of a ten round bout against Romnick Magos on December 1, 2012 in a clash for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth title after he dropped Magos in the opening round but was himself dropped in rounds three and four.
Since the loss Palicte has strung together five knockouts in a row.
Ancajas has scored 7 knockouts and one victory when his opponent retired after a lone loss by majority decision to Mark Anthony Geraldo on March 17, 2012 ina WBO Youth title fight.
His opponent Majiha is coming off back-to-back defeats losing a twelve round unanimous decision to world title challenger Pungluang Sor Singyu who lost by a 7th round knockout to Japan?s Tomoki Kameda at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas on July 12 this year after dropping a twelve round unanimous decision in a WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight title to talented Marlon Tapales last June 28.
